Artwork

Submission

You can send us artwork in a variety of ways. We can accept files via email attachments although it is advisable to compress your files or zip them to make them smaller (only email us files less than 20mb in size). Alternatively you can put your files on a USB memory stick, CD or DVD and post them, or bring them with you, if you are coming to see us. Visit the Files Supported page to find out other ways of sending files to us. If you have a fast internet connection then you can send your larger files (2GB max) for free direct via mailbigfile.com or wetransfer

We prefer press-quality PDF artwork, but can accept most common file formats including: EPS, JPEG, TIFF, QuarkXpress QXP, Indesign INDD, Illustrator AI, Photoshop PSD, Word, Publisher, Powerpoint and Excel to name a few.

Bleed

This is the area of your artwork that is extended beyond the actual dimensions of the document. It is used to avoid areas of white paper showing on the edges of the finished print when cut to size. Any objects in your artwork that touch the edges of the document require bleed, for instance a background colour or image should spread to cover the entire bleed area as should any objects that creep in from the side of the page. The amount of bleed we require is 3mm beyond the edges of the final document size.

Resolution

For really good print production please ensure all images are saved at a resolution of 300 dpi in CMYK format at the size they will be printed (we can scale artwork down, but if we have to scale it up, the print quality will suffer).
